Playa del Carmen is about 40 miles south of Cancún. Authorized taxis, buses, and rental cars offer the most convenient ways to get from the Cancún International Airport to Playa del Carmen. Transportation options and ticket booths are found as soon as you exit the airport. Authorized group taxi to Playa de Carmen are around $40 USD per group. There is a direct bus line to Playa del Carmen from Cancún International Airport which costs $10 - $15 USD. Once you arrive at the bus station you can take a taxi to Xaman Ha for about $5 USD.

Driving directions from Cancun International Airport: From the Airport exit, take Hwy 307 south for 40 miles. Follow signs for Playa del Carmen. Once you arrive in Playa del Carmen, continue down 307 in the center lane. At the second stop light, where the cross street is Juarez Avenue, take a left. Follow Juarez for about 7 blocks (note that the avenues go by fives), until you reach 15th Avenue. Take a right and continue past the airport until you come to a stop sign. Take a left here and follow to the next stop sign, about 50 meters. Take a left at this stop sign and continue on this road for about a block. Take a right to enter Playacar. Pass the guard station and take the next left. Xaman Ha is at the end of this road.
